At Backyard, They love their music, and continue to enjoy the privilege of attracting some of the best musicians in the local scene. Independent up and coming solo artists to veteran recording artists, soloist to full 15 piece percussion bands have all graced Backyard’s stage with their different genres playing music from all kinds of genres from instrumentals to country and western, jazz to grunge, ballads to heavy rock, easy listening to South African rhythms.
Backyard Pub has two pristine 8-ball British Pool tables. Numerous tournaments are held throughout the year to encourage the sport of pool, namely The Gan Classic, Merdeka Pool Competition, Backyard Pool League and Uncle Frank’s Don’t Miss Ah! Tournament. Every now and then a team is picked from their regulars and have friendly inter-pub games. Games are held both at home and away. The regulars are avid players, so you should feel free to come on down and have a go at taking them on.
