Justin Bieber gets concussion, passes out
PARIS, June 1 (UPI) — Canadian pop star Justin Bieber passed out shortly after hitting his head by walking into a glass wall backstage at a Paris concert, TMZ reported.
The 18-year-old recording star told the celebrity news Web site he was disoriented but went back on stage and finished his set after Thursday’s mishap.
When the show was over, he walked to his dressing room and fell unconscious for about 15 seconds, he said.
TMZ quoted doctors as saying Bieber suffered a concussion but is expected to be fine.
“Just smacked my head and needed some water. All good,” the recording artist said via Twitter Thursday. “I’m Canadian. We are tough. LOL. It’s all good. Just gotta take it easy the rest of the night. Back at it again for you guys tomorrow. Thanks.”

P Diddy’s son granted $54,000 football scholarship, despite father’s $550 million fortune
The teenage son of P Diddy is at the centre of a row over a the award of a $54,000 (£35,000) American football scholarship given to him by UCLA, despite his father’s estimated $550 million fortune.
Justin Combs, was awarded the scholarship, one of 285 athletic scholarships handed out by the school each year, after an impressive season as cornerback at Iona Prep school in New York.
But the award was criticised by those who argued that his father’s fortune meant he did not need the scholarship.
It was suggested that by accepting the award the young Combs, who drives a $360,000 Maybach car, was taking it away from other more deserving players.
UCLA, a top American Football school, was forced to defend their decision.
Ricardo Vasquez, a spokesman for the school said that athletic scholarships were funded from a separate pool of money than the grants awarded to low-income students and so Combs’ award did not disadvantage any needier students.
The LA Times suggested that both father and son would be applauded if they handed the money back.
“There is no doubt Justin Combs earned it. There’s also no doubt he doesn’t need it,” an opinion piece said.
“Perhaps Diddy could make the even grander gesture of writing a check to UCLA for $54,000 for a matching scholarship for some talented young scholar who couldn’t otherwise afford to study there.”
After hearing the criticism, the young Combs took to Twitter to defend himself.
“Regardless what the circumstances are, I put that work in!!!! PERIOD. Regardless of what you do in life every1 is gonna have their own opinion. Stay focused, keep that tunnel vision & never 4get why u started,” he said.

Adam Levine dating another Victoria’s Secret model
After being publicly dumped by Victoria’s Secret Angel Anne V, the Maroon 5 front man is mending his broken heart by getting cosy with another of the lingerie giant’s models, Behati Prinsloo.
Less than two months after being unceremoniously dumped by Victoria’s Secret model Anne V, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine appears to be mending his broken heart – and possibly seeking revenge – by getting cosy with another VS Angel, Behati Prinsloo.
Levine and the 23-year-old Namibian beauty were spotted openly canoodling in Kauai, Hawaii, last weekend where they were said to be attending a friend’s wedding, and have since been seen dining together in Los Angeles.
Back in April, Levine – a self-confessed womaniser – was said to be “heartbroken and blindsided” after Anne V officially called time on their two-year relationship via a statement to People magazine. Just a few months earlier, Levine famously serenaded his then-girlfriend with his most recent hit ‘Moves like Jagger’ as she strutted down the Victoria’s Secret catwalk.

Meanwhile, rumour has it that Anne V is dating actor Jared Leto after they were spotted “sharing a drink”, according to New York Magazine. Well, sharing a drink with a guy is always a sure sign of romance, isn’t it? Ahem. Her rep has since denied the claims. It’s more likely the pair were discussing movies as the model is set to make her acting debut next year in the fifth Die Hard film, A Good Day to Die Hard.
The fledgling romance will undoubtedly make things a little awkward between Anne V and Prinsloo, who are said to be friends after having worked with each other a number of times – including both appearing in a spoof video for ‘Moves like Jagger’ which featured a whole host of Victoria’s Secret Angels.
Will it be Angel wings at dawn come the next VS show? We’ll have to wait and see. But one thing’s for sure, Levine’s certainly got the ‘moves’ when it comes to snagging some of the world’s most beautiful women.

British singer and style icon Florence Welch comes over all patriotic as she discusses her revered style.
Flame-haired singer Florence Welch pops up on the July cover of Harper’s Bazaar magazine in a dreamy, ethereal shoot that paints her as a Pre-Raphaelite goddess. And it’s good to see she’s lost none of her famed eccentricity proving a more entertaining subject than your average Hollywood cover girl.
Asked about the Queen, Welch admits she would love to have tea with Her Majesty: “I feel she’d know the answer to all sorts of questions. Oh, you know, the best words to use at Scrabble…”
But what of her revered style? “I like to wear clothes that I will wear when I am an old lady”, she confesses, which bearing in mind her love of challenging couture numbers by her friends at Chanel, Givenchy, Valentino and Alexander McQueen should make her one stylish granny.
But as muse to so many designers – Welch could politely be described as something of a style ’slut’ with an admiring designer in every port – how is a girl to choose her favourite?
“Riccardo – I just love Riccardo. Pier Paolo and Maria Grazia and Stefano and Frida …” Then suddenly she bursts out: “Sarah Burton! Sarah, I love you, you’re the best.”
Oh decisions, decisions. Maybe this is one for the Queen…

Rihanna to showcase funny side in Seth Rogen comedy
Rihanna has racked up another film role after making her debut in Battleship – she’s starring in Seth Rogen’s new comedy The End Of The World.
The pop singer first put her acting talents to the test playing a tough cadet in the naval blockbuster, and now she’s building up her Hollywood resume with a comedy role.
Rihanna was spotted shooting scenes with Harry Potter star Emma Watson on Rogen’s latest project in New Orleans, Louisiana on Thursday, alongside co-star Jonah Hill.
The Umbrella hitmaker also took to Twitter.com to drop hints about the project, telling fans, “Movie time in N.O, all my fav comedians in 1 room! Pure laughs non stop.”
After her scenes wrapped, she added, “Just leaving set! This has to be one of my favorite moments in life (shooting) end of the world.”
A host of stars including James Franco, Jason Segel, Danny McBride and Mindy Kaling have signed up to play themselves in the apocalypse-themed film, which is set for release next year.
