Fourth ‘Transformers’ flick on the way
Hollywood’s Paramount Pictures says director Michael Bay is to helm a fourth Transformers movie to be released in 2014.
The flick is part of Bay’s new two-picture deal with the studio.
Bay also is to commence this spring the filming of “Pain and Gain,” which is based on a true story and follows a group of bodybuilders who engaged in a campaign of kidnapping, extortion and murder in Florida. Starring Mark Wahlberg and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, who both appeared in “The Other Guys,” the movie does not have a release date yet.
“Michael has been working on ‘Pain and Gain’ for a number of years but has patiently waited for the perfect casting to trigger a start,” Adam Goodman, president of Paramount’s Film Group, said in a statement Monday. “Clearly his patience has paid off as we couldn’t be more excited about this combo. His passion for this project is just awesome.”
The next “Transformers” is set for release June 29, 2014, but no casting has been announced for it. / upi.com

Singer Shakira ‘attacked’ by sea lion
Pop star Shakira has described how a sea lion “tried to bite” her as she took a picture on her mobile phone.
During a holiday in Cape Town the singer wrote about how the animal “got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury”.
She said: “My brother ‘Super Tony’ jumped over me and literally saved my life, taking me away from the beast.”
Shakira and her brother suffered “scratches” from rocks “while trying to protect ourselves”.
In a blog post on her Facebook page titled “Special report: Attacked by a sea lion”, the Colombian singer included a photo of a minor cut sustained on her hand.
“Everyone there screamed, including me. I was paralyzed by fear and couldn’t move.”
Shakira, currently visiting South Africa, explained that she thought the animal had become confused.
“I believe what happened is that it confused the shiny reflection of the BlackBerry I was taking these pics [sic] with, with some sort of fish,” she wrote.
“It probably thought I was teasing it with food and then taking it away from it.”
The 35-year-old star is best known for having international hit singles such as Wherever Whenever, She Wolf and Underneath Your Clothes.
Her most recent Sale el Sol was released in October 2011. / orange.co.uk

Beyonce names Houston as the ultimate legend
Beyonce has hailed Whitney Houston as the “ultimate woman” in a touching tribute detailing her first meeting with the singer, who died on Saturday.

Beyonce admits she has been left heartbroken by the tragedy, and has joined celebrities including Dolly Parton, Aretha Franklin, Sir Elton John and music mogul Quincy Jones in remembering Houston.
The Crazy In Love singer recalled the first time she was introduced to her idol in a statement released to fans on Sunday.
She says, “The loss of Whitney Houston is painful. I remember meeting Whitney for the first time when I was 15. She was the ultimate legend. The ultimate woman. Not only was she confident, poised, stunningly beautiful and intelligent, but she was sincere and kind. She took the time to make everyone feel like they were very important to her.”
Beyonce insists the I Will Always Love You hitmaker is irreplaceable, and reveals she modelled her career after Houston’s.
She adds, “I, like every singer, always wanted to be just like her. Her voice was perfect. Strong but soothing. Soulful and classic. Her vibrato, her cadence, her control. In an interview on U.S. news show 60 Minutes, which aired in America on Sunday, she explained, “I plant stories and see who leaks them and I get rid of them.
“I tell like a group of people who I’m suspicious of, I tell them all a different story with different details in it, but all roughly the same story so I can keep my eye on it, and then when it would come out I knew who it was.” / orange.co.uk

Madonna accused of copying new single
Pop superstar Madonna has been accused of copying her latest single from a track by a Brazilian musician.

Joao Brasil claims the chorus of the Material Girl’s new song Give Me All Your Luvin’, which she performs with Nicki Minaj and M.I.A., is a rip-off of his own tune L.O.V.E. Banana.
His record company bosses and legal team are now considering whether to take court action over the allegation – but Brasil is adamant Madonna is his heroine and he doesn’t want to sue her.
He tells Brazil’s Folha da Sao Paulo newspaper, “I still don’t understand what happened. I’m a huge fan of hers. If it’s plagiarism, then even better. She is always at the cutting edge of music, so it’s a good sign about what I do… It’s in their hands, they’re looking at how to proceed and what they can do. But personally I don’t want to do anything. The last thing I need in my life is a fight with Madonna.” / orange.co.uk
