What do you get when you mix traveling, Hip Hop and an abundance of great ideas? The Urban Camper, Jason Schadt. With his unique approach to musical life Jason, better known as ‘Vandal’, has accomplished a great deal since finding his passion for Hip Hop during the dawn of the 90’s. As an intrepid traveler, drawing from his experiences as inspiration, Jason has developed a niche for himself amidst the monotony of generic artists in today’s oversaturated market. Considered a pioneer well ahead of his time, Jason AKA Vandal is now set to embark on a long awaited rebirth.
Mr. Dan, born 21 December 1986 and known to his friends as Dan Shiv, draws inspiration from hip-hop greats such as Biggie Smalls and Jay-Z but considers himself a conscientious student of music, drawing inspiration from a variety of musicians and genres, which he feels contributes to his progress as an artiste. Having worked with some of the best in Malaysian hip-hop, Mr. Dan is not lacking recognition nor skill. With relentless drive and a persistent work ethic, Mr. Dan has slowly built a reputation which highlights him as one of the most promising hype men in town.
Win some lose some, Jin Hackman has proven his mettle as an emcee in rap battles all the same. Far from being just a battle rapper though, he is also an experienced performer with emceeing skills that would get even the most sedentary crowd to get up out of their seats. Naturally he’s garnered quite the rep as a quick-witted, oft-funny, and skilled lyricist in the hip hop scene, yet it would be a mistake to assume he is just that – a hip hop emcee who is stuck performing at dingy hip hop gigs to a crowd of likeminded peers. Jin Hackman is just as much of a rising star as he is a rapper’s rapper.
Al Caponey is bursting on to the scene with her unique style and voice as member of the former mega-crew CSBTEA. Don’t let her size distract you from her vicious style on the mic as this new rapper is going to be a problem in the future. Together with Jin Hackman and the RTB crew, Al Caponey is set to bring a new dimension to the Malaysian music scene.
Starting his young career as a BBoy and Graffitti writer, Truf aka BBoyIL spent time in Singapore developing his love for Hip Hop culture and an appreciation of the music and art forms. At the ripe age of 17 Ian Lim aka Truf has a wealth of knowledge and a passion for Hip Hop that is unmatched in todays pop culture environment. Working together with CRIB and The MoveMint Truf can be considered a well rounded Hip Hop connoisseur and is just about to come to age.
