Adventure Around the World in 1 Night
“Goodbye calculations, I can travel around the world in 80 days. I will take your wager!” – Phileas Fogg.
This was the line in the movie “Around the World in 80 days” by Phileas Fogg acted by Steve Coogan.
This movie is about a man who is an inventor and is ambitious enough to want to prove all the scientist wrong by travelling around the world in some of his invented transportation.
Looking at the similar story, D’ Danze Academy is collaborating with a few other dance schools in Klang Valley is bringing you an experience to travel around the world in one night.
The story of this performance is about a famous director, Mr. Godfrey Worthington and his fellow assistants who have achieved the best award in directing stage performances.
They are a group of talented directors in directing ballet live performances in London. Having had his last production, he and his crew packed and left London to travel around the world for more and new inspirations.
As they travel to 12 countries of 5 continents, they came back to London with new ideas prepared to present yet another masterpiece.
And to their joy, they successfully combined in different cultures of 12 countries into 1 performance.
The purpose of this show is to allow the young children to be given the exposure and to showcase their talents on stage.
On top of that, these children as young as the age of 3 are performing for a good cause. Part of the ticket sales will be given to a selected organization to help those in need.
For example, the Tsunami Funds, Nargis Cyclone, Sichuan Earthquakes, Sri Lanka charitable organization and the recent Japan Earthquakes and Taiwan Flood.
We are proud to have invited the honourable Tan Sri Dato’ (Dr) L. Krishnan to join us on this merry event. And also the Kiwanis Group of Malaysia will also be coming for the production. 200 seats will be given to the Kiwanis Group’s Past Lt Governor Mr. CK Liew and the Past Treasurer, Lt Governor & District Trustee Mr. Michael Chiew to be distributed to all the 52 chapters of the members around Malaysia.
The teachers and students of these dance schools also have taken part in various events and shows organized by The Dance Society of Malaysia (TDS).
One of the major performances was The Slave Princess which was staged in Istana Budaya in the year 2007. The students also took part in the Solo Ballet Competitions organized by the TDS annually.
According to Ms Suzanne Liew the principal of D’Danze Academy, “This year is like every past concert, we extend invitations to the students of our panel of teachers / choreographers to showcase their talents as well as to gain stage experience”. She added that this year they are welcoming the Guest and Junior choreographers into their family.
This will be one of the biggest productions put together by these dance schools.

The Danze Adventure will showcase in KL Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) which is located in Sentul Park, Kuala Lumpur.
