THE CLOSER

The Closer doesn’t just blend Hip Hop & Sports, its off-the-wall take on the events around the sporting world is a chance for the listener to be entertained as well as informed. Expect a string of special guests, interviews and event coverage jam packed into a one-hour time slot that includes trivia, and of course Vandal’s signature segment “It’s a Rap”. We’re not here to spew boring statistics and scores, that’s too generic. The Closer embraces the wacky and absurd and dares to take it where no other sports show has dared to go. Warning, we might hurt your feelings.

Vandal

Despite being a long-time member of the Hip Hop community in both Canada & Malaysia, Vandal has always had an affinity for Sports, as both an athlete and a fan. As a kid he would use his portable tape- recorder to impersonate the sports broadcasters he listened to on the radio, while at school he was active in High Jump, Volleyball, Soccer and later, Basketball. In 2010 the ASEAN Basketball League employed Vandal as the voice of their weekly Highlights Show “Game2Game” and the next year he took the roll of Game Emcee for the KL Dragons, finally celebrating a Championship with the team in 2016. Blending his skills as an emcee and his love of sports, Vandal is set to bring a unique twist to the airwaves with his Weekly Sports Radio Rap Up – The Closer.
