Entrepreneurship Conference To Inspire and Galvanize Malaysian Entrepreneurs

Junior Chamber International (JCI) Lead Tropicana is set to host an entrepreneurship conference on June 30 at Gamuda Gardens in Sungai Buloh, Selangor. The inaugural New Entrepreneur Championship Conference (NECC)- Light Up Your Greatest Treasure will feature prominent speakers from the entrepreneurship industry in an effort to encourage young active citizens to go into business by providing practical guidance for promising youth-led startup companies to grow within the region and beyond.  

NECC is an engaging program, which aims to develop entrepreneurship mindset by giving participants the chance to address real life business challenges as well as explore business opportunities. This conference serves as an ideal platform where great minds gather together to inspire and share ideas of best practices, effective approaches and successful business framework necessary to cultivate better communities as well as a more robust economy. 

“ We are excited to host this inaugural entrepreneurship event- this will be an excellent platform for entrepreneurs and investors alike to connect and catalyze the Malaysia entrepreneurship ecosystem. We will work with young entrepreneurs to further sharpen their deliverables and business sense from the viewpoints of customers, investors, marketers, and technologists in order to be as viable as possible,” said the Organizing Chairman of NECC , Jin Tan. 

NECC offers a range of unique activities for participants : 

  • Entrepreneur Championship is a real time “ Business Game Challenge” where selected participating teams of five will be asked to solve business cases within three hours and present their model solutions within 10 minutes in front of a panel of judges who are industry leaders. Evolution will be premised on problem definition and analysis, ideas and recommendation, implementation or plan of action, presentation method and skillset as well as abilities to handle questions. The winning team will be awarded with a cash prize and Championship Trophy. A pre-event training will also be offered to all contestant in order to equip them with the necessary know-hows to train their critical thinking, develop business proposals and pitches, sportsmanship, etc.
  • Entrepreneur Conference is a sharing session by diverse and prominent speakers on their entrepreneur journey, experience and knowledge. Some of the exciting line ups would be Founder and CEO of Fave, Joel Neoh; Co-Founder and Executive Director of Ipay88, Chan Kok Long; Group CEO of Malaysia SME Media Group, Wayne Lim; Founder and CEO BookDoc, Dato’Chevy Beh : Founder Owner Circle, Jonathan Quek ; Founder and ICFO President Elect @ICSMEE, Gan Teck Hooi; Executive Director and Blogger Colony Space Asia , Audrey Ooi and Managing Partner of Thinkbig Venture, Andrew Tan.
  • Business Corridor is a showcase of latest business trends and business matching opportunities. Some of the key topics that will be discussed are current market trends and an opportunity, new market strategies, tips on business preparation, etc.
  • Investor Connect is a networking and mentorship opportunity for entrepreneurs, startups companies, industry experts and business owners to meet with investors.
  • The President of JCI Lead Tropicana, Alfred Ang applauded the vent nothing that it will help the country to share practices and promote youth entrepreneurship.
