Kuala Lumpur, November 28 2017- Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM) today announced the debut of a new daily online entrepreneurial radio station via eFM is a multi-platform online station that aims to be the definitive resource to maximize effective messages to foster a nationwide entrepreneurial culture and thinking. The multiple platform includes live radio and video streaming, podcasting and social networking in addition to offering in-depth perspective on entrepreneurial insights and trends for the startup and business community. 

The first of its kind initiative, eFM is supported by the National Entrepreneur Development Office (NEDO) under the Ministry of Finance, in collaboration with Malaysian Global Innovative And Creative Centre (MaGIC) and is Housed at Futurise Centre, Cyberjaya.

Commenting during the media preview of eFM, Secretary-General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance, Malaysia as well as Patron and Founder of GEM, Tan Sri Dr.Mohd.Irwan Serigar said "There is a total of 169 government and private led development programs for entrepreneurs and SME that amounted to RM5.85billion that are carried out in 2017. However, we notice that there isn't a singular platform that focuses on communicating about all these entrepreneurship programs and initiatives- hence,we see a need to create one in order to ensure maximum reach to the community."

CEO of MaGIC, Ashran Dato' Ghazi also shared his enthusiasm for eFM as he believes that the talk-format multi-lingual online radio will be of great benefit to the business community, as well as other entrepreneurship organizations. 

According to Ashran, the content and programs of eFM will help inspire entrepreneurs by having serial episodes featuring notable speakers sharing their entrepreneurship experience and success. Additionally, eFM also offers informative programs such as investors-pitching tips, increase productivity and tips on monetizing businesses. 

Also present were Mohd Zahrain Mohd Nor, Head of National Entrepreneur Development Office, (NEDO); Mohd Najib Ibrahim, Acting Managing Director of Cyberview Sdn Bhd; Mahadhir Aziz, Head of Futurise Centre; Dash Dhakshinamoorthy Balakrishnan, President of GEM; as well as Low Ngai Yuen, Executive Director of GEM.

Aimed at entrepreneurs, startups, business professionals and enthusiasts, as well as aspiring entrepreneurs and the general audience, the multi-platform online radio features exciting and informative programs that covers latest updates of industry evolution and economic growth of entrepreneurship in Malaysia. Amongst the strong lineup of hosts include Dana Blouin who is a though leader on the internet of things based in Bangkok with his podcast series on SEA Business. The series will look at the the startup action in the Southeast Asia region, how the ecosystem has been developing as well as how the future might look like. Another interesting podcast is that of Baki Zainal's Buku Untuk Sukses: Good To Great where the best-selling book will be revisited in Malay on why some companies and business owners transition to great companies while others don't. There is also a podcast looking at the business side of showbiz, The Truth Of Showbiz: Music Edition and another of the Neonate Story of street wear fashion.

eFM will also feature inspirational programs such as Sifu Bajet Ciput where serial entrepreneur Tuan Seri Azharee Wahid shares business-related motivations and how it can be applied to help micro-entrepreneurs start out; Startup Talk features successful startups who will be frank about the challenges that they did not see coming; Foodgasm shares the inner workings of the most innovative food entrepreneurs in the industry; and Happenings - a serial podcast that allows the audience to gain perspectives for the various entrepreneurs and their different hats and lenses as they share their journey in entrepreneurship.

Also announced is Nana Mahazan as eFM morning show anchor, unleashing her entrepreneurial spirit while whipping up new and exciting content.
