With the economic downturn, companies in general are scaling down company trips for employees. Such trip usually serve as incentives or rewards for employees who have met target. Yet, sometimes employees are reluctant to go on such trips preferring to receive cash bonuses instead.
However, company trip are not always for leisure. Some companies would plan there trips in such a way that employees are able to learn and get unique experiences that help with self development.
Some companies would make these trip compulsory attendance while some employees do not think it is a good idea. How this will pan out pretty much depends on the mindset of the employees
