FRESH GEAR

If you missed the limited re-release of VLONE x fragment design just over a week ago, you’ll be happy to hear a new collection from the two brands has appeared online. Amongst the collection are items like a leather parka, canvas parka, jumpsuit and flannel — all of which don the collaborative mash-up of logos. Pieces are expected to sell-out fast, as the flannel has only hours since launch. Check out the photos above for a look at everything and shop the collection here.

FRESH KICKS

ASICS GEL-MAI X BODEGA “UNDERGROUND".The Asics Gel-Mai has been getting a bit of mixed reviews but since “ugly” kicks are the in thing these days, this pair from Bodega should prove a hit. The shoe features a mix of suede, textile and leather for the upper construction while a mix of orange, brown, grey and purple are seen throughout. Dubbed the “Underground”, the sneaker’s inspiration comes from death itself. Look out for this pair on June 23rd with the retail price of $170 exclusively at Bodega.

ADIDAS NMD_R2 X SNEAKERSNSTUFF ‘GREY MELANGE’.While the hype for NMDs in general has somewhat slowed down, there is no denying the thirst for NMDs is still there. Using the simple colors of a mostly grey and white upper, Sneakersnstuff decided to use a high-flex material on the upper and the result is an easy-to-wear sneaker. The sneaker is finished off with a Boost sole and an interwoven ring pull around the heel counter. This pair will be releasing on June 28th for around $156.

NEW BALANCE 990v4 x DTLR “STARS AND STRIPES”.It’s been awhile since we last featured New Balance features so for fans of NB runners, here’s one that might pique your interest! To celebrate the upcoming Independence Day (America), DTLR has chosen the 990 because it’s made in USA (of course) and has a mix of red, blue and white colors. Utilizing suede and mesh on the upper, the sneaker also comes with patriotic detailing on the insoles. “Star and Stripes” will be releasing on June 23rd, just in time for the Fourth of July celebration!

NIKE CORTEZ PREMIUM ID BY OLIVIA KIM.Nike has joined forces with Olivia Kim (VP, Creative Projects of Nordstrom) for a special Cortez release. It’s a good time to rock a pair of Cortez since this year is the 45th anniversary of the classic Nike shoe. So since this a Nike iD, the special pair by Olivia Kim will come with suede or nylon options and buyers get to choose between white, black or navy for the upper/Swoosh. But the best part we like about this pair is the sole, which has a gum-like color with pink hints. You can already check them out on Nike’s website under the iD section.

NIKE SB DUNK HI “WHAT THE”.Utilized to great effect by the Swoosh over the years, Nike‘s “What The” treatment has graced everything from basketball kicks to SBs over the years, most recently popping up on the newly resurrected Dunk JP series. Those Dunks aren’t the only ones receiving artistic design cues though — coming soon is a premium SB Dunk High Pro model reimagined with the quilt-inspired artwork of renowned artist Thomas Campbell. Asymmetrical color and pattern-blocking is the name of the game, in this case hitting a combination of leather, suede and canvas construction that sports polka dots, stars, stripes and various logos alike.Complete with a gum rubber outsole and two sets of laces, the Nike SB Dunk High Pro x Thomas Campbell is set to hit SB spots on July 5 for $150 USD.
