MWM "PHASE" WIRELESS TURNTABLE NEEDLES.  French brand MWM has revealed plans for a wireless DJ needle that could potentially revolutionize the way artists conduct turntable sets. Known as Phase, MWM’s latest creation lets users DJ audio files using vinyl, all without a needle. According to The Verge, Phase plugs directly into any audio interface or mixer and “wirelessly translates a record’s movements into timecode, which can then be read by Digital Vinyl System (DVS) software like Serato and Traktor.” The device was initially introduced as this year’s NAMM event, and captured the eye of many outlets as something that could have a pretty significant impact on the world of DJing and turntablism; The DJ Hook Up even noted that some writers have called it the “biggest announcement of NAMM 2018.” “The same way Mixfader did, Phase comes as one of the major technological advances in turntablism,” MWM CEO and founder Jean-Baptiste Hironde shared via press statement. “Phase offers to DJs the possibility to explore new grounds, breaking down all the obstacles between them and their performance.” You can check out an official demonstration of MWM’s Phase above. If you’re interested in picking up your own, MWM will be selling them this summer and the device is set to retail for $300 USD.


WACKO MARIA SPRING/SUMMER 2018 COLLECTION.WACKO MARIA ups the ante of graphic offerings for the Spring/Summer 2018 season. The Japanese imprint never fails to purvey a diverse range of relaxed and formal garments with a streetwear-centric aesthetic in mind. For this lineup, a handful of blousons, shirting, suiting, bottoms, headwear, and more are introduced for the warmer months. Key items include Americana-inspired jackets, aloha shirting made in collaboration with Potato Head, tri-colored sweatshirts, and cabana hats. Notable motifs include leopard print, tartan, contrasting side stripes, tiger-stripe camo, and traditional Japanese visuals such as cherry blossoms, coiling dragons, and ocean waves. WACKO MARIA’s Spring/Summer 2018 collection is out now at select retailers February 10 and on February 16.


ADIDAS ALPHABOUNCE/ADIZERO X KOLOR.adidas and Kolor are back at it again this time with the AlphaBOUNCE and adiZero Prime Boost. The AlphaBOUNCE receives mesh and ripstop nylon construction alongside neon orange and teal color blocking on the uppers. For the adiZero Prime BOOST, the innovative low-top is set to arrive in two unique colorways. One version receives tonal grey and yellow hues while the other is predominantly wrapped in muted yellow alongside purple accents. The shoes are available now with the price range of $150-$220.

UNDER ARMOUR CURRY 4 ‘ALL-STAR’.The NBA’s All-Star weekend is just around the corner and UA has a new colorway for Stephen Curry’s latest signature sneaker. A simple yet crispy white upper sits on top of an iridescent blue outsole while details like the sock-like entry and ‘SC30’ logo on the midsole remains unchanged. To us, these are little too boring to be part of the ‘All-Star’ collection. These will retail for $130 on February 16th.

YEEZY 500 ‘BLUSH’.The Yeezy 500 ‘Blush’, also dubbed the Desert Rat 500, will be launching tomorrow on adidas’s Confirmed application. It’s draped in colors of beige and grey with suede and mesh construction. The chunky runner also receives the signature Adiprene sole with a grid-like pattern for elevated traction. Will this be your go to dad sneaker? No price details yet or confirmation of local availability yet but these will be releasing in the US on February 16th and 17th and happening in conjunction with the NBA All-Star weekend. 


Fans of Reebok basketball shoes, rejoice! BAIT is releasing yet another Reebok Question Mid (their first was in 2013) stays pretty true to the original’s design blueprint. The Snake 2.0 has a distinctive snakeskin material at the upper, black patent leather at the toe, quarter mudguard and heel counter while black suede covers the tongue tab. The look is finished off with embroidered detailing at the heel counter and die-cut quarter panel accents, a white midsole with metallic silver Hexa-lite technology and a smoked translucent outsole. What’s new is the leather lining and piping that elevate the popular colorway with a premium touch. These will release on February 17th for the price of $180 and limited to only 600 pairs.
